There is a CILS certification for all the levels set up by the Common European Framework of Reference:
A1-A2 (basic user)
B1-B2 (independent user)
C1-C2 (proficient user)
For all these levels La Regenta offers a specific course to prepare the student to pass the CILS examination with proficiency. The course is based on the use of focused textbooks and involves extensive simulation of CILS exam sessions.
The CILS (Certificate of Italian as a Foreign Language) is an official examination provided by the Foreigners University of Siena and it certifies the degree of linguistic-communicative knowledge in Italian as L2. It is official in the sense that it is recognized by the Ministry of University and Research and it is necessary to work in any institution that requires an official certificate of knowledge of Italian. The CILS A2-“Module for integration in Italy” certification is necessary for foreigners to obtain the long residency permit. The CILS DUE-B2 certification exonerates non-european students to take the Italian examination in Italian universities.
The CILS course is an intensive course of 4 hours per day, from monday to friday, for a minimum of 2 weeks.
